Join an Intro Class so we can show you our studio, review your movement history, and answer your questions so you're ready to thrive. You'll get a great foundational workout, and we'll set you up with the Membership or Package that suits you best.
We love beginners! Once you've joined an Intro Class, you will have everything you need to succeed in our mixed-level group classes. Your instructor will also be able to recommend a group that is most suited to your goals.
All new members start with an Intro Class, regardless of experience. It allows us to assess your movement patterns and get to know you, so we can effectively challenge you during our mixed-level group classes. Think of it as an opportunity to refine your practice, because as we say in Pilates: progress is when the simplest exercises start feeling the hardest!
A sweat towel and a water bottle. We've got the rest!
Wear comfortable clothes designed for movement, ensuring they offer good coverage during stretches. No shoes, please. Grip socks are ideal, but clean bare feet are also welcome.
For the privacy and comfort of our clients, no. If you are curious about our offerings, an Intro Class is the perfect place to start.
Not officially... yet! While our focus remains on Mat Pilates classes, we are working behind the scenes to introduce Reformer sessions in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!
No. We acknowledge that most of our clients are pensioners, and have therefore calculated our prices accordingly.
Nope, but you don't have to forfeit your classes. Monthly Members can reschedule their classes ahead of time, within the same Mon-Fri week, and 10-class-pack members can book any other available time-slots.
Ja! Ons is trotse Suid-Akfikaners en praat buide Afrikaans en Engels. Afhangend wie saam met jou in die klas is, word die klasse in twee tale aangebied, ons noem dit "mengels"!
With a calendar month's notice, you can pause your Monthly Membership once each year. The reason we are able to offer the Monthly Membership economically, is because it is a fixed monthly fee - NOT a per class fee. Therefore, we cannot pause your membership more than once a year.
The 10-class-pack is your best friend! You can book your classes around your travel dates and don't have to forfeit any classes. Just be sure to use them within six months before they expire.
We usually trade our regular class schedule for a special "Holiday Schedule" from mid-December to mid-January each year. Monthly Memberships are paused by default during this time - your last monthly invoice includes the first half of December and the second half of January combined.
Up to ten people per class. It's the sweet spot for both maximum camaraderie and personal attention.
Definitely, yes! Joseph Pilates developed his method to train and rehabilitate internees during WWI. He believed it was a prerequisite for a healthy life. Today there are rugby teams (hello, Sharks!), and professional athletes (Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Andy Murray), who rely on Pilates to boost athletic performance, manage back pain and prevent injuries. With bulletproof core strength, improved joint mobility, posture, and body awareness, you'll feel like a whole new human if you give it a try!
Our instructors are trained to read the room and cater for the people in front of them. So no, two classes are never the same.
If you are looking for strength training like they have at the gym, this is not it. Though we like to spice things up using props like ankle weights, resistance bands and the Swiss ball, our Pilates classes build strength through mind-body connection, using mostly body weight and what we call co-contractions. When you control even the tiniest movements and stabilize from your core, you are not only getting stronger, but more coordinated, more in control, and more balanced from head to toe. Do Pilates on it's own, or pair it with traditional weight training and reap the synergistic benefits of both!
That's why you need Pilates! Pilates makes stiff bodies more mobile, and gives flexible bodies more stability. That's how we prevent injuries.
Because your future self will thank you. Pilates strengthens the body as a whole, improves joint mobility and posture, and sharpens body awareness so you can keep doing everything else you love. Unlike high intensity workouts that leave you feeling beaten up, Pilates leaves you energized and in control of muscles you didn't know existed. The goal is to keep you playing sports, climbing mountains, and chasing after your kids or grandkids for years to come - without the aches or the injuries. Come try a class and feel the difference first hand!
